Casio Renames Sales Subsidiary in Dubai, Expands Operations in Africa
CASIO Middle East and Africa to Cover More of Africa

Tokyo, October 26, 2022 — Casio Computer Co., Ltd. announced today that it is expanding the responsibilities of its Dubai subsidiary to cover more of Africa and strengthening the subsidiary’s sales structure to grow its business in Africa.
Accordingly, the company name of the local subsidiary will be changed from CASIO Middle East FZE to CASIO Middle East and Africa FZE, with operations under the new name beginning on November 1, 2022.
Africa is a region where rapid economic growth is expected, as the population is projected to reach 1.7 times its current size by 2050* and consumer purchasing is expected to increase. Casio has positioned Africa as one of its priority markets and is paying particular attention to Africa as a market to expand its timepieces, education, and electronic musical instruments businesses, which are at the core of the company’s growth strategy.

CASIO Middle East and Africa will conduct sales activities not only in the Middle East and the parts of Africa where it has already been working, but also in countries previously looked after by the Tokyo headquarters of Casio Computer Co., Ltd., such as the Republic of South Africa and Angola, as well as in countries Casio will enter in the future.
Taking advantage of the opportunity provided by this company name change, Casio will strive to enhance its presence in the market with this subsidiary as its hub for the Middle East and Africa, seeking to popularize Casio products and expand its business by addressing the needs of users in each country.
