Privia: Creating Musical Bonds and a Sense of Comfort.

Buttes-Chaumont, located in the northeastern part of Paris has been garnering considerable attention as a wealth of new stores have continued to set up shop. Margaux Salgado and her husband, Adi Salet, run Mardi, a café that has become a cornerstone of the area. Together with their dog, Bento, they live in a quiet local neighborhood that’s within walking distance of the café.

"People often say the Buttes-Chaumont area has the warmth of a little village. It's a bit removed from the city center, but with so many different stores clustered together in. a small area, everyone knows each other. And the best part is having one of Paris' largest parks nearby. The area has changed a lot since we first opened our café and I like to think we've helped everyone discover this area's charm."

Margaux and Adi opened their café about a year ago. "After we started spending more time at home, we then had the desire to open our own establishment where we could entertain customers. We wanted to create a cozy and comfortable space, like an extension of a living room."

They paid particular attention to the interior design and small details of the café to make sure that it lived up to customers’ expectations. "We carefully considered all aspects of the café, from the color of the wood grain to the layout of the tables. The most important thing is to create an atmosphere that's both comfortable and makes people want to come back again. Music is a special part of that and the type of music that's playing can help to transform the mood of the entire place."

Back at their apartment, a red Privia seamlessly blends in with the soft tones of their home’s decor. "We always like to keep things simple, so the slim and minimalistic design of the Privia is important to us. It helps us to feel a closer connection to music and allows us to enjoy playing the piano whenever we want. I don't think there's any other instrument quite like it. Even if you aren’t the most experienced player, it's great to try and express yourself. It can evoke a lot of emotions, so I think it's a step toward being able to lead a richer and more fulfilling lifestyle."
