Jisoo Won thrives working as a brand marketer amidst the sea of office buildings and bustling pace of daily life in Yeouido, Seoul's bustling financial district.
"Yeouido is a vibrant and energetic area of Seoul during the week but it becomes a much more tranquil and calmer place on weekends," Jisoo explains, as they emphasize the importance of these quieter moments.
"The area is home to a number of stylish brand shops and delicious places to eat. I really enjoy shopping, dining, and strolling through the streets and parks to unwind and relieve stress," adds Jisoo.
Jisoo has been passionate about drawing ever since childhood. "When I was young, I dreamed of becoming a painter when I grew up. However, as I prepared to attend university, my range of interests broadened to encompass all the arts, which lead to me pursuing a degree in fashion. Now that I work in brand marketing, from the outside it might seem like I have taken a different direction, but I find my role creatively fulfilling as I can use my wide range of perspectives when designing brands."
Taking time to be creative and relax are crucial to Jisoo. "Drawing and playing musical instruments helps me to unwind. They give me an outlet to express my thoughts and imagination."
Music has always been a close companion for Jisoo. "I have vivid memories of listening to old pop songs in my dad's car. I still often listen to music—like while I’m drawing, designing clothes, or cooking. Music is always a constant source of inspiration for me."
While at home, Jisoo enjoys playing their favorite tunes via the Privia speakers. "Using a piano’s speakers for playing music was a novel experience for me at first. The sound quality is clear, and the volume can be adjusted, making it perfect for gathering family members to listen together."
