Bringing the Unique World of Privia to the Masses.
Ryota Nagasaki oversees the planning and production at Billboard Live, and he has continued to express his ambition to share an unparalleled level of content from Tokyo, one of the most vibrant cultural hubs in the world. Having been involved in live production and booking artists since his student days, he contentedly states, "We take pride in creating something truly unique, from the ground up with our own hands."
"At concerts and live performances, showing your audience something that doesn’t exist elsewhere and is unique to that moment and place, is the most valuable type of content. We aspire to create concerts and content that gain traction on a global scale, and it’s incredibly meaningful to be able do so as part of the Billboard brand."
Billboard Live TOKYO, was created on the basis of "Weaving History and Tradition with Nightlife," and they offer stylish and enjoyable spaces for adults to enjoy. Backstage at Billboard Live TOKYO events you’ll find the Privia PX-S7000.
"Artists are always intrigued when they see such a beautiful instrument, as many of them have never seen anything like it. Even non-pianists want to give it a try, and this has even inspired some to purchase one to take home. The Privia has become an iconic part of our green room," Ryota shares. He often notices artists and their friends gathered around the Privia after performances which highlights its appeal as a piece of interior decor.
"Privia has a sense of stylishness that makes it hard to believe it’s a musical instrument, and I mean that in a good way! It lacks the intimidating, formal image that is often typical of many instruments. Its unique coloring, like the harmonious mustard hue, adds an element of chic interior décor to any space. Of course, it also features a refined sound quality, and other elements that you would expect from a high-quality instrument. This combination is what makes Privia truly unique."
Since its debut in 2003, CASIO's digital piano, Privia has continued to evolve. "The Privia Magazine" showcases a new world combining music and lifestyle that Privia and its global users have created. Billboard Live had a strong desire to collaborate on this project because it resonates closely with their own vision and philosophy.
"When I heard that the word Privia was created by combining ‘piano’ and ‘private,’ I felt like I really related to its concept. Music should be something you do because you enjoy it, not because you’re forced to. Personally, I find that doing what I love gives me the greatest feeling of satisfaction, so I connect with the idea of a piano that integrates into your lifestyle. Through 'The Privia Magazine,' we aim to share the unique world of Privia with a broader audience, and Billboard Live is excited to be able to meaningfully contribute to this unique cultural initiative."
