Privia: A Tool for Family Bonding and Communication
Naoko Murakami is an interior stylist for whom compromising on her own home décor is not an option. “My journey into the world of interior design began with a job focused on organization and storage. I have always loved spending time at home, so put a strong focus on making it as cozy as possible. This desire to build a comfortable environment for my family to live in is what inspired me to pursue a career as an interior stylist,” she explains.
Her home is filled with various indoor plants and features a warm, white-toned color scheme with natural wood accents,. “Seeing the plants grow a little each day fills me with positivity,” she smiles. Taking care of her plants has become a crucial and refreshing part of her daily routine.
At Naoko’s family home you’ll also find a white Privia PX-S1100. “I chose it because of its slim, unobtrusive design and I especially like the shape of it. I was amazed by how it is able to seamlessly blend into my home. It’s more than just an instrument, it’s an integral part of my décor,” she says, recalling her first encounter with Privia. Arranging the interior of her home with the piano’s design as a base became a new source of creative freedom.
Since introducing the Privia into her home, Naoko has noticed a wonderful change in her family dynamic. “Whenever I sit down to play, my family naturally gathers around. Before I realize it, we’re playing games like guess the intro or chorus, and everyone’s laughing and having fun together. Having the piano at home has really brought us closer together,” she shares.
The Bluetooth feature has also come in useful for her kids to playback their favorite songs, which helps to spark even more lively conversations. “I’ve realized that music is much easier and more accessible than I previously thought. The piano isn’t just for playing music – it brings us closer together,” she adds with a smile.
