Taking the Modern Luxury Hotel Experience to New Height with Privia.
Marriott’s mesm Tokyo, Autograph Collection combines a refined sense of style with a creative edge of modern luxury. The Autograph Collection is known for its unique hotels with bold design and distinct characteristics. This includes mesm Tokyo, where all 265 of the guest rooms come with CASIO’s Privia digital piano. mesm Tokyo offers guests an experience that’s truly one of a kind, all based around their philosophy of “The Mark”.
mesm Tokyo hosted “The Mark Week,” this year between September 23rd to the 29th, a week of special events that ended with “Piano Live at mesm TOKYO”—a piano performance streamed live from one of the hotels guest rooms, featuring pianist Ryota Kikuchi.
Ryota reflected on the event and shared, “Having a piano available in every room is a delight for any pianist. It’s difficult to bring a piano along when you travel, so having one here in the room feels like a real luxury.” mesm Tokyo’s General Manager, Hisashi Oinuma was also close by watching Ryota’s musical performance.
“Privia fits in perfectly with the ambiance and night views that we have here,” said Hisashi. “The name mesm comes from the word ‘mesmerize,’ and we want to bring our guests an experience that resonates with the ever-changing vibrancy of Tokyo.”
The response to Privia from guests has been incredible. “Some parents have mentioned that after trying Privia in their room, their children were inspired to start piano lessons. Music has the potential to enrich life—it uplifts, it encourages. Through the power of music, I hope that we can make mesm Tokyo an even richer experience for our guests.”
