Casio Wins Six iF Design Awards in 2024 Record Number for Casio

Tokyo, March 11, 2024 — Casio Computer Co., Ltd. announced today that five of its products and one of its websites have been named winners of the internationally renowned iF Design Award 2024.
The iF Design Award is a prestigious international recognition of design excellence organized each year by iF International Forum Design GmbH, which is based in Hannover, Germany. This year, 132 design experts carefully selected the winners from among nearly 11,000 submissions representing 72 countries. Five Casio products and one Casio website were awarded with this honor, for a total of six iF Design Awards in 2024.
Award Winners
Employing a newly developed sound system, the AP-750 delivers an unprecedented level of natural piano authenticity, recreating the resonance of a grand piano. The front panel displays information including keystroke velocity and amount of pedal depression, metronome, and more with illuminating lights, offering users a convenient way to discover more nuance in their playing.
This magazine-style website (in Japanese only) communicates the appeal of Casio design in a dynamic, animated style using stories about design development and the designers. This media channel explores the workplace, and its charms, as part of people’s daily lives, elevating Casio’s presence and at the same time helping with recruitment.
Of all the lines of G-SHOCK shock-resistant watches, the MUDMAN focuses on a dust- and mud-resistant structure to withstand extreme land conditions involving scattered dust and piled debris. This model delivers a dual-layer LCD to enhance the readability of the digital compass, all in a slimmer profile to meet the practical utility required by rescue professionals.
The iconic asymmetrical form of the FROGMAN diver’s watch, now in the impressive full-metal design of the flagship MR-G line. Each of the more than 70 individual components is polished before the intricate assembly process to create a beautifully detailed texture.
The long-beloved digital 52QS from the late 1970s is reprised after a 50-year interval. The original look with four front buttons and distinctive case is reproduced with beautifully polished hairline and mirror finishes in this new line of models, all updated using an integrated color, material, finish (CMF) design approach and contemporary color schemes.
